Kattike Bhanjyang

Kattike Bhanjyang (Nepali:कत्तिके भञ्ज्याङ ) is a former Village Development Committee located 32 km west of Kathmandu, Nepal in Kathmandu District in Bagmati Province. It is known for a sunrise view of the Himalayas as well as other peaks of the Himalayan range of Nepal. Kattike Bhanjyang also offers a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley. The scenic beauty of the place makes it a very popular hiking route for tourists. It is located approximately 7000 ft (2000 m) above sea level and 28 km from Kathmandu International Airport. Kattike Bhanjyang commands one of the broadest views of the Himalayas in the Kathmandu valley (8 Himalayan ranges of Nepal out of 13 from here). The ranges include Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Mahalangur range (Everest range) and Numbur range with views of the Kathmandu valley and Shivapuri National Park. There are lots of trekking opportunities in and around Kattike Bhanjyang for individuals who enjoy being outside and are active nature lovers. The most well-known of these are the Nagarkot Cheso Pani Eco Trail (nature Walk) and the Nagarkot Panoramic Hiking Trail. Kattike Bhanjyang is a well-known backpacking destination in Nepal, it is growing in popularity with tourists who want to see the country side. However, there is plenty to offer for anyone wishing to relax for a few days and get up close and personal with the Himalayas, and I genuinely believe it to be one of the best spots to visit in October, November and December.
